Re: North American Minors
Delegations are sent to tribal leaders of the Shawnee, Cherokee and Saponi bearing gifts (.41 points allocated to this) and seeking expanded trading relationships. Factions in the tribes are invited to bring delegations to the new settlement of New Amstel (OTL Washington), which it is hoped can be a trading hub for the region. They are also quietly informed that the Dutch will be more than happy to sell them modern European arms in return for their friendship, and assured that the Dutch colonies have no interest in expanding into territory controlled by the tribes. New Amstel itself is a bustle of activity with the construction of the fort and settlement and the deployment of a new garrison brigade.
