Central and Eastern Arabian Peninsula

The central part of the peninsula (Najd) is an impoverished desert plateau divided between warring statelets. There are few population centers, no standing forces, though the people are warlike and armed.

The eastern part of the peninsula (the coast, essentially) is slightly more developed--small fishing villages and anchorages--nominally under the suzerainty of the Persian Shah.
