Asian NPCs
Imperial China -Population 260 million
Policy with outside world is just limited trade via Portuguese Macau or Canton Factories. Assume most of the player nations have trade interest via Canton Factories, however the trade value varies nation to nation. Currently the Dutch and British East Indies Trading Companies are the most profitable.( I.e its already built into their trade income for each group).
Tokugawa Shogunate of Japan -Population 26 million
Policy with outside world limited trade to only Dutch via Deijima trading post.
Joseon(Korea)-Population 14 million
Considered a vassal of Qing China.
Will add others as needed.

Re: Asian NPCs
Omani expansion wars 1767-1769
The Sultan's son, Said Bin Ahmad sets his sights with the approve of his father to expand the empire south to allow Omani greater control of the main trade routes in the Indian Ocean. His first moves were to bring the Omani fleet to the Islands of Mayotte and Comoros, which allowed him to bring it under his control and setup his staging grounds for the next phase of his campaigns....
His next moves were attacking Madagascar kingdoms for tribute and slaves raids, which provide him with much need wealth to justify his campaigns to his father. By end of 1769, he decided test the reaction of the European powers namely the French, who known sending their slave ships off the coast of Omani east africa to import slaves for their colonies in Indian Ocean. He decided this practice must stop, as it as sign of disrespect to Omani sphere of influence.
In late Dec 1769, he sends a message to the French governor of Saint Louis [Mauritius] to stop this practice and paid Omani slave traders for the service of providing slaves to his colony.
A similar message was sent to the VOC governor of Capetown.
However by the time these messages arrive, other Omani plans are set in motion...

The French East India Company representatives in Mauritius, aware that the company's already razor-thin margins would be threatened by loss of access to the slave markets of East Africa, furtively begin lobbying the Omani Sultan for an amicable solution to the dispute. France, of course, has no interest in bending the knee to a foreign sovereign, but nor does the East India Company wish to impede the growth of its colonies in the Indian Ocean.
Re: Asian NPCs
Early January 1770,
British, French, Dutch traders note a large Omani fleet leaving Muscat and traveling down the Yemeni coast.
By early March 1770, it reports start to come in that Omani forces have force the Sultanate of Lahej to become their vassel. Which give the Omani forces a key base to attack the Yemeni forces in Mocha and drive out of the surrounding areas. Just giving Oman control of the key Arab coffee market port city.

For now the Omani are please negotiation outcome and agree to allow the French to keep their access to the slave markets.

The Governor in Cape Town refuses to grant the Omani delegation their wishes, knowing full well that the slave trade can continue through either the West African trade or through servitude in Malaya. He further notes that should any VOC merchants come under attack from Omani ships enforcing their attacks, it will be considered an attack on the VOC and the States General in Den Haag shall be informed. However, he makes it known that the VOC is open to negotiations or a possible buyout from the Omani traders.
