Anglo-Mysore war( 1767-1769)
Belligerents
Mysore
Arakkal Kingdom
Nizam of Hyderabad(Defected to British side, sued for peace in 1768)
Nawab of Savanur
Nawab of Banganapalle
vs
East India Company
Maratha Confederacy
Nawabs of the Carnatic
Setting a power struggle between the allies of Mysore vs the allies of British and Maratha factions over the control of Southern India and the Northern Circars region.
Currently either side has taken much land from each other since the start of the war. Both sides are now planning to make their next move....
Update of Late 1769,
Return to peace, status quo terms.

Re: Anglo-Mysore war( 1767-1769)
Once word of the war reaches England, troops are raised, equipment and weapons allocated and purchased and supply ships chartered to send them to India. The Royal Navy is ordered to provide full support to the East India Company and ensure that Mysore does not threaten the sea lanes.
No additional warships are sent, as the 10 frigates already on station are considered sufficient. In all, cadre for 3 new cavalry regiments and 3 artillery companies as well as their equipment so that Sepoy units can be recruited are authorized in the 1768 Defense Act

Re: Anglo-Mysore war( 1767-1769)
The war so far...
Early 1768, British East Company envoys manage to convince the Nizam of Hyderabad to switch sides and drop out of the war. Leaving Mysore and its remaining allies to push forward.
For the remainder of the year, the British East Companies armies in Bombay, Madras maintain a defensive posture for the year as they wait for more reinforcements from Britain. However they were provide support to their Maratha allies in fighting the Mysore armies, while suffering light losses(a couple hundred).
This at point the Mysore armies were planning to attack Madras however with the defection of Hyderabad and the presence of Maratha armies put that move on pause. To add insult to injury the Royal Navy Frigates raided the Mysore allied port of Mangalore in March of 1768, which destroyed their newly build/yet poorly trained navy of 2 Brig units and were able to loot the port for the value of 1 point. This action force the Mysore allies to send forces to re-garrison the ports in Southern Coast. For the remainder of the year with monsoons impacting troop movements. The Mysore forces gather in strength prepping to assault Madras in the coming year. They are able to inflict some damaged to Company trading interest in the area surrounding reducing 1769 trade income for the Company by 1 point. However this is offset by recent raid on Mangalore.
A interesting observation is made by East Company officials who noted captured weapons from Mysore, were a number of French Charleville muskets. Which appear to be have been recently made. But these officials shrugged it off noting the close trade relations between Mysore and French East Indies Company.

Re: Anglo-Mysore war( 1767-1769)
Conclusion of the Anglo-Mysore
Late 1769
Mysore/allies inflict moderate losses on British and their allies, however either side is able to win a decisive victory over the other. With increasing pressure from the North via the Maratha armies. Mysore sues for status quo peace with British East India Company. For Mysore and its allies will wait another day to settle their score with the British...
British East India Trading Company losses 2 Sepoy Infantry regiments from Madras.
