Portugal escape the worst of the Seven Years War or the Fantastic War as it was known to the locals with light losses. and its economy/ colonial empire relatively intact without heavy damaged. However there is sense of fear along the Portuguese government of the next major conflict that could arise with Spain/France against Portugal long time allies the British. For now the Portuguese want to focus on trade and expanding the wealth of Brazil. Which in turn use the money to focus on building more defenses of the homeland.

The British Government approaches the Portuguese Crown regarding the possibility of a joint campaign to conquer Mysore in India and expand Portuguese holdings beyond Goa. A joint British Portuguese Army under Portuguese command, with British naval support and in cooperation with the British East India Company and British Army should bring an end to deprivations by the ruler of Mysore. The conquest of Mysore would be held by Portugal at wars end should it be interested.
