As I've mentioned before, I'm working on writing up this timeline and turning it into a more official history. My hope is to turn this into a thread on the Alt-history forum so we can generate some interest in possibly joining the game, since lack of players has been an issue.

The Google doc below should be open to view, it's turned out to be a lot more material than I expected but I have 9 chapters, so I hope to do a weekly posting some point soon! Comments and criticism is very welcome.

You should probably drop things like "one Barbary PatRon" and instead say a "small squadron of Barbary Brigs, Sloops and Xebecs"

in other words, avoid gamespeak

My intention was to strip that all out, so evidently I missed something, thanks for catching it! My plan is to keep the descriptions of the battles while keeping casualties and units vague, since that seems common on the forums

I approve this effort--glad to see that all the effort I put into writing the posts pays off and makes for a more readable narrative! I also think you can enable a recommendations/comments mode for people to give input more directly, to help catch grammar/syntax/formatting issues (many of which, of course, are mine).

Good idea.

Looks like they moved it to the Alternate History writer's forum- no idea of the vagaries of this forum, but hopefully it nets us some readers and a few players
